“The Gal Who Got Rattled.” It’s a wagon train yarn, set, like the others, in the early 1850s, that begins in half-straight, half-smart-alecky mode but gradually becomes a mournfully tragic tale that evinces a real and sincere love of the West. Crucial to its success is a rich and true performance by Grainger Hines as the wagon master. – Hollywood Reporter Todd McCarthy (emphasis added)
Grainger Hines can be seen here arriving at the SAG screening of The Ballad of Buster Scruggs at the SVA Theater in NYC. You can see him in the film when it comes to select theatres and to Netflix on November 16!
Just finished working on The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, a film written, directed and produced by the Coen Brothers. It’s set to premiere in competition at the Venice Film Festival. Exciting work!
